The Boulan Book Fair could not have happened without the help of many people in the community. Mrs. Levitt and Mr. Lewan helped to transform the Media Center into a "reading oasis" with their seventh grade students' sarcophagi and pyramids. The National Art Honor Society from Troy High School created beautiful decorations, including columns, palm leaves, the Sphinx, and even a mummy! Students enjoyed browsing the book fair all week and participating in Penny Wars. The Book Fair-oh also made an appearance each day. We couldn't have had our fair without the help of our wonderful parent volunteers, too! Troy High National Honor Society students counted the coins from Penny Wars each night so that the scores could be announced each day.The sixth grade took an early lead at Penny Wars and crushed their competition by the end of the week. Two lucky sixth grade students have chosen to "mummify" Mr. Morse and Mrs. Shankin during the week before winter break. Thanks for your support of our book fair! We were able to purchase around $1,200 in books for the Media Center and raised $1,300 from fair sales, Airhead sales, and Penny Wars donations.
