It was a GROOVY week in the Smith Media Center as students came to shop for books at the Scholastic Bookfair. Students wore tie-dye on Wednesday to help celebrate our 60s theme. Many thanks to the wonderful parent volunteers who staffed the registers during the flurry of sales! Missed the Bookfair and still want to make a purchase? Our Online Bookfair is available until March 4. Your purchase will be shipped to Smith for FREE and will be available in the next two weeks. Students from the Troy High National Art Honor Society helped to decorate the media center in 60s splendor. Thank you for your support of the Smith Media Center!

The Scholastic Book Fair will be coming to Smith's Media Center on February 22-26. With the theme of Peace, Love, BOOKS!, our library will be transformed into a groovy place to be with decorations from the Troy High National Art Honor Society students. Your child should have received a parent letter and a sneak peek pamphlet about the hot items at the book fair. Or, you can also see the letter here. Check the schedule to see which day your child will be attending the fair. Be sure to load the book fair app on your phone or on your child's iPad! This free app will give you access to videos and podcasts about the books that will be at the fair, along with summaries, AR reading levels, and prices. Shop the fair using the pamphlet and the app with your child before you go! NEW THIS YEAR: Students can create a wishlist using the app in order to show you what books they would like to buy. You can order directly from the app OR send money with them to make a purchase the next day at school. Can't make it to our fair? Don't worry--shop our online bookfair February 22 - March 4! Shipping is free, and your purchases will arrive at school. Mrs. Chatel will contact you for pick up.
